The horse welfare knowledge is steadily increasing and there are definitely some great places where you can go for a casual ride on the beach or more regular horse riding (dressage or show jumping lessons). Here’s a full collection of all the stables in Bali.

Horse Riding Near Ubud (Bali)
Ubud Horse Stable

Offers: Trail rides, photoshoots
Ubud Horse Stables is highly praised by visitors for its well-trained and cared-for horses, professional staff, and beautiful scenery. Guests appreciate the personalized experiences, attention to horse welfare, and the safe yet thrilling experience offered to riders of all levels. The friendly atmosphere, delicious picnics, and the chance to explore quieter parts of Bali away from tourist crowds are also frequently highlighted. Not as beginner friendly as other option, in my opinion the horses lack foundational training and the terrain isn’t perfect. It’s a very scenic and fun ride which I think intermediate / advanced riders would still enjoy!
